7 Things to do during Isolation!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

For today's post i wanted to share with you some things to do during this Isolation period.
Currently, here in Ireland we are in lockdown like many other countries around the world. The amount of Corona Virus confirmed cases are rising.

We are currently at a point were we do have to keep a 2 meter distance away from people when out and about in shops and pharmacy's, plus we can only excercise within a 2km radius of were you live.

As a family we have decided to keep are distance from other family members and friends, and that's where face-time has came in so handy in keeping in contact with them. We are still taking trips out to the shops to stock up on groceries were we spend roughly around 15-20 minutes in stores plus also wearing gloves./masks.

Although i have reduced my day's going out, i do however still go for my normal walks in which i am distancing myself from people.

So since we are in lockdown, i have decided to list out a couple of things to do at home during this isolation period.
1. Have a Movie Day
Having a movie day can make the day go a bit more quicker, whether's its a new/old film's or some of your favourite Disney flims.
Even Netflix has an amazing range of film's and documentary's too, which the whole family can choose from.

2. Meditate
Taking time out and Meditating can help clear your mind, especially at this time when anxiety levels can be high with everything going on in the world. Mindfulness Meditation can help to manage your symptoms and help you relax. There is so many apps and relaxing music to choose from. I like to take a few minutes out throughout the day to Meditate. I feel that this should be something we should all do on a regular basics as sometimes life can be stressful and we all need to take care of "ourselves" now and then.

3. Workout
Do a quick Workout to help keep up your fitness regime such as doing some arm/leg workouts and some weight training as well. If you don't have any equipment try to improvise by using cans of food, such as Baked Bean Cans to use as weights Also don't forget to stretch out after your workout especially your legs and arms.
4. Bake
Put your Culinary Skills to the test and do some Baking..... whether its making some Scones or making a beautiful Chocolate Cake. I find baking very enjoyable and relaxing for some reason. Its even more enjoyable if you get your children involved too. One of my favourite cakes to bake is a Chocolate Fudge Cake which goes down really well with the family and its on my list to bake over the next few day's of isolation!!

5. Go for a Walk
Going for a Walk during this isolation period can help you get some fresh air and clear the head. Currently, here in Ireland we can only walk a 2k radius from were we live, so it does allow us to go for a longish walk with my 3 fur babies who i walk everyday.
6. Have a Pamper Day
Having a Pamper Day is a day of chilling and relaxing. By getting into some comfy clothes and putting a facemask on can make you feel like a new person. My ideal Pamper Day, is putting on a relaxing facemask and putting on a nice Foot Pack as well. I then like to paint my nails and unwind  to some relaxing music.

7.Reading/Podcasts
Reading and listing to Podcasts can be great especially reading some of your favourite books. Currently i have started to read a few books as i'm taking a break from looking at the internet/social media. I think for your mind its a good idea to reduce your internet/social media access especially at a time like this as it fill your life with a lot stress that you just don't need. I also find listening to Podcasts quite good, as there is a huge range of podcasts to listen too.

I hope you guys enjoyed my 7 things to do during Isolation.

Please stay safe and stay at Home!!

Love

Louise
