Hello 2019!!

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year to you all, i hope you all had a fabulous Christmas.

I had a quiet Christmas although, i did go out for the New Years Celebrations which was really nice.

It's crazy to think that Christmas 2018 is now over, it seemed to have flown by really quick. I for one is delighted to see the back of 2018 and can't wait to see what 2019 will bring.


For me 2018 was a very tough year for myself with not only been diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease but for the passing of one of Best Friends. Over the last couple of months i decided to take a break from Blogging to focus on my health and well-being as i was trying to juggle so many things at once and it really was getting on top of me.

But now that the New Year is here i have decided to take a healthier approach to the new year and set some targets and resolutions for myself for 2019. I have decided to list a couple of my targets/resolutions below for you all to check out.

'Be more active on my blog and social media' 

This is one target i want to reach in 2019, been more active on my blog and on my social media platforms. Throughout my blogging days i have always been consistent with uploading posts and content on the blog. But i decided to reduce that in 2018 as i had to come to terms with both my illness and a bereavement which was extremely difficult.

But for 2019 it is my target to get back to blogging as i miss not uploading content here on the blog and interacting with you guys. Throughout the last couple of months i have been using instagram quite a lot as i just love to upload pictures and stories on there, plus its even a great way to interact with you all.


Getting back in to Exercising? 

No matter how many resolution posts i do, i always seem to mention the word 'exercise'. I kinda of go through waves of where i will workout for a few months and then loose interest. So i decided just before the new year to download a 30 Day Fitness App to get me back into working out for 2019.

So far i'm on day 9 of it and i'm feeling really good, i tend to get my workout done in the morning around 8ish just so i have it out of the way, i also tend to go for a walk most days as well so i'm a getting a lit bit extra in as well. Also with this 30 Day Challenge its also having a good effect on my Diabetes as it's helping my glucose levels and i feel as if i have a lot more energy to burn in the mornings too, plus it even gets me set up for the day ahead. 


Eating Healthier!

Another target i have set for myself for 2019 is to become a lot more healthier at eating. Since been diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic i have made changes to my eating habits. I am more aware of looking at the nutrition values when it comes to buying my food so that i know how much of everything is in it, also because i am insulin dependent i also have to take in to consideration the amount of Carbohydrates that is in the food too as this allows me to figure out as to how much insulin i should need.

I personally like to stick to a well balanced eating routine rather than a diet. A normal well balanced eating routine for me would be 3 main meals a day followed by 2 snacks. I also like to included a range of vitamins and probotic drinks into my routine which helps balance everything out.


Less on my phone!

Like everyone these days i am never off my phone, whether i'm talking, texting on facebook or instagram there is always a phone in my hand. A better way to say it would be 'i'm on it day, noon and night!!! I want to try and reduce my time on my phone, as i'm missing out on important stuff that is happening around me and for the mind its good to have some down time where you don't have to put your eyes through hours of scrolling and texting.

So iv'e put a plan in place to keep a record of the amount of time i'm on my phone from morning time to night-time so that i can make the changes. i'll let you all know how i get on :-)
