Shortbread Cookies with Strawberry Jam!!
I've been making this Shortbread Cookies for a while now. I love to bake the odd time, especially if I haven't got that much to do. These Shortbread Cookies with Strawberry Jam our delicious, I like to sandwich the two cookies together so that you get that gorgeous taste of Strawberry Jam. So here's the recipe for all of you guys to try....
Ingredients
150 grams Plain Flour
100 grams Margarine
50 grams Caster Sugar
Pot of Strawberry Jam
Some Icing Sugar
(makes around 7 Sandwich Cookies)
Utensils
1 Large Bowl
Weight Scales
Spoon
Whisk (Electric Whisk)
1 Large Round Cutter
1 Large Oven Tray
Rolling Pin
STEP 1: Preheat oven 160C, Gas mark 6. First place Margarine into your bowl
STEP 2: Next place the Caster Sugar into your bowl like so.
STEP 3: Then cream together the margarine and sugar in the bowl, I decided to use the Electric Whisk as it was a lot quicker.
STEP 4: Gradually mix the flour in to your mixture to create a dough.
STEP 5: Now that you have created the dough, leave it for a moment or two.
STEP 6: Then on a lightly floured surface, its time to start rolling out your dough with a rolling pin.
STEP 7: Roll out to about 1/2 cm thick.
STEP 8: Cut out your cookie shapes using a large round cutter,
STEP 9: Next place them on a large tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cookies our lightly browned.
STEP 10: Once done, that leave them to cool on a wire rack (in my case I had to let them cool on a wooden board)
STEP 11: Next its time to cover your cookies with Strawberry Jam. First take two of your cookies and turn upside down. Next spread some Strawberry Jam over both of them and then sandwich them together.
STEP 12: To finish off your Shortbread Cookies with Strawberry Jam, just dust with a little icing sugar.
STEP 13: ENJOY x
